Athletics!

On Thursday we had athletics and it was tiring! We had to do it in the morning because there wasn't enough time for our run on Wednesday. Saluselo, Solomone, Robati, Kain and I Ran the 100m race and I came first, but I wanted a rematch because the teacher that started the race didn't do it properly, she said "Set... Go" and only some people went straight away. So that run wasn't fair.

Tech Is Almost Over!

Today was the second to last day of tech. Oh man that means there's more work to do. Anyway today was kind of boring because I was at materials and I already finished my necklace last week. All there was left to do was to finish off my workbook and that was hard because there's like three pages of work that I had to do. 

I made my necklace for my mum, to show my appreciation for her looking after me. I want to do materials so I can make one for my dad. Would you make a necklace? Who would it be for?

Summer learning Journey

Yesterday Sophie came from the summer learning journey organisation. She said that there's amazing prizes that you could win, and there could be a tablet or phone. All you need to do is register and blog about the activities 1 - 3 times a week. When I went home I straight away registered, but it starts on the 17 of December. This sounds like a great opportunity to up my game for school next year. Will you register?

Holidays

On Saturday I went to my aunties house for a BBQ, but I didn't even know what it was about. It was fun because my family went down to the field and played soccer with a basketball, because I kicked the soccer ball to the neighbors house. My team won because of me, the score was 8 - 4. The BBQ was perfectly cooked, but for the first time I ate this lettuce looking thing and that was kind of yuck but it's still healthy. On the bright side the BBQ was awesome and I think everyone liked it.

Relay's Are Here!

This week started to do relay's and it's pretty fun. Today all the boys and I had to run with the year eights because I was the only year seven so Mr Reid combined me with the rest of the year eights, and we came first.

When all of the girls ran, the year sevens came second. After that the two fastest boys and girls had to run and we the year sevens came second again, but the important thing is that we had fun out there.

Armistice Day

On Sunday it's Armistice Day and this is what me and my inquiry group had made. I think ours is considered the best (I think).

Guy Fawkes

On Monday it's Guy Fawkes. I'm really excited because I saw my dad making a big box filled with heaps of fireworks all mixed together. He also put all different kinds of fireworks in a bag to give to us. Guy Fawkes isn't as special as Christmas or Halloween👻 but it's still fun. What do you think about Guy Fawkes?

Let's Prevent Littering!

For inquiry we're trying to figure out ways to prevent littering. Some of my groups ideas were to convince the government to make a special day where everyone needs to pick up one rubbish bag of litter lying around their community, but we still need to come up with more ideas to prevent litter, because one day it will kill all of humanity, and plus, if you've watched the news it said that scientist have found microplastics inside humans for the first time. 😇Last Week Of Term 3😅

It's now week 10, the last week of term 3. It's almost time for us to take a two weeks break from school. I can't wait until the start of the holidays. I've been working my butt off to do fun things in the holidays like going to the pools and movies.

The saddest part of the holidays is mowing the lawns and doing other chores. There are only 3 more days until term 3 finishes, but I still need to be on my best behavior.

🖥Changing Tech Groups🖥

Last week we changed our Tech groups. My group (Group A) started with Cooking with Mrs Tuipolotu, then Graphics with Mr Pineda and now we're doing Materials with Mr Grundy. The last couple of sessions have been phenomenal. I hope this class will be as wonderful as the last ones, and I reckon it will be because it's interesting and fun to do!

Last Day Of Tongan Language Week!

Today was the last and final day of Tongan language week. There were five people doing a presentation and wearing Tongan outfits. The first four outfits were called tau'vala's, the fith outfit is called a kiekie and the flower on top of that girls head is a tekiteki. All of their outfits are usually worn for special occasions such as birthdays, weddings and funerals. The outfits are magnificent.

Volleyball!

Yesterday we had our last netball practice with our coach. It was fun showing off our skills that we learnt. First we played elimination, I was in team 2 but then our volleyball coach swapped me into the other team, I had betrayed team 2 and won for team 1. I felt guilty, but then again I still won😁. After that we played a tournament(which my team won), and then boys vs girls(which was a draw). I think we all had fun, if you were playing all these events would you have had a good time?

Art!🎨

Last week we had art. We were trying to make an Easter basket. The equipment we needed were

• 2 pieces of paper
• scissors
• glue/hot glue gun
• pencil/pen
• ruler

I used blue and red paper. Would you make an Easter Basket and why?

Soccer Inter-schools

On Wednesday I went to the soccer inter-school's  at Point England Reserve. It was years 5, 6, 7 and 8 only. We left at 9:15, but our first game was at 9:30. The first game was pretty easy, but while we kept playing it was getting tough. We won 1 game, tied 1 game and lost about 4 games. My positions were mid field, goalie and center. I scored 2 goals in total. I enjoyed it because I was having fun, we still came last but that didn't matter to me. Would you still have had fun if you came last?

Duffy Books

 

On Tuesday my class and I had to choose three Duffy books from a magazine filled with lots of amazing books! There were 56 books altogether in the magazine. The first book you choose is the one you really want, the second and third book is your back up choices.

The three books I chose were The League Of Super Hero Games, Thor Ragnarok and Behind Enemy Lines. It was a tough decision picking between The League Of Super Hero Games and Thor Ragnarok for being my first book. Out of the three, what would you have picked as your number one?

Tall Ferns:Women Basketball

It was an  astonishing game against Malaysia. The Tall Ferns took victory in the women basketball with, a score of 86 to 44. These athletic women got over 10 three pointers, isn't that amazing! I reckon I was so amazed because it was my first time watching the Tall Ferns play.

Cybersmart Learning!

This week we had to address five tips on how to become cybersmart. This was an act to show our teachers that we were cybersmart. Our teacher told us to go on the Manaiakalani: Cybersmart Learning. site.The whole class had to write 1 sentence from 5 different sites. I think I proved that I'm cybersmart to the teachers👍😅

Hello my name is Tristan, and I am a year seven student in Room 12, attending my sixth year at Ruapotaka Primary School. I'm an average aged boy with long brown hair. I am Niuean and Samoan. One of my hobbies are sports such as rugby, baseball, touch, ripper tag and basketball. This year I am going to aim for  higher levels in all subjects and be better than before.
